 Shekinah Kids

Shekinah Kids meet every Wednesday night at 7pm.

This special night is designed to draw the kids closer to God in a very fun and interactive way.  They learn about the power of the word, worship and prayer which inspires them to be involved in the Kingdom of God now.  We believe and teach them that they are part of the church of today and that God will use them if only they let Him.

The scripture tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people; this includes the children.  Our Shekinah kids are taught that they can freely worship God and He will touch them.  Since we have started teaching this concept many of our children have drawn closer to God and participate more in our services.  This has been an inspiration to some adults and has caused them to be more actively involved in their praise and worship of our Lord.

One of the greatest things we have done through this class is teach the kids that they can pray and God will hear them. We often will pull out a large map and pray for the missionaries and children in each country.  During our services children are encouraged to come to the front and help us pray for the sick.  They are gaining boldness and faith in God...they believe that God hears and answers their prayers!

Here is one testimony about a 10 year old Shekinah kid who was at a restaurant with several other people.  One man was saying he had a headache and the 10 year old said "I'll pray for you".  The man thought he was talking about praying some other time and said, "ok".  That boy jumped up, anointed him with oil, prayed a very simple prayer, sat down and began eating.  The man instantly testified to being healed - his headache was gone! To God be the glory.
